SCIENTIFIC FOCUS - In addition to our usual emphasis on genomics and proteomics we have expanded our focus to include related technology such as flow cytometry, microscopy and imaging, laser capture micro dissection, lipidomics, ion mobility mass spectrometry and more. The program includes a pre-conference workshop on flow cytometry and sessions on next generation DNA sequencing, "disruptive" technologies, non-ergodic fragmentation methods, homogeneous DNA analysis, microarray technology, protein purification/characterization and biosensors. This year a significant portion of the program has been dedicated to the application of these technologies to agricultural research and plant biotechnology.
