  • SCIENTIFIC FOCUS - In addition to our usual emphasis on genomics and proteomics we have expanded our focus to include related technology such as flow cytometry, microscopy and imaging, laser capture micro dissection, lipidomics, ion mobility mass spectrometry and more. The program includes a pre-conference workshop on flow cytometry and sessions on next generation DNA sequencing, "disruptive" technologies, non-ergodic fragmentation methods, homogeneous DNA analysis, microarray technology, protein purification/characterization and biosensors. This year a significant portion of the program has been dedicated to the application of these technologies to agricultural research and plant biotechnology.

  • ABRF AWARD WINNER ANNOUCED - Dr. Ruedi Aebersold, Professor of Molecular Systems Biology at ETH-Zürich and the Faculty of Sciences, University of Zürich has been selected as the 2008 Award Winner. The presentation and lecture will be on Monday, February 11.

  • JUST ADDED - 10 Registration Waivers for Students & Post Doc. ABRF will grant registration waivers for ten students or post docs who present posters at ABRF 2008. The intention of the registration grant is to highlight research that was made possible through collaboration with core facilities. More information is available under the Abstract Submission section.
  • The Opening Plenary Session with 2 special lectures will be held Saturday evening, immediately followed by the Welcome Reception.

  • Daily Munch & Mingle Lunches. Complimentary reception style lunch and refreshments will be served in the exhibit hall.

  • NEW for 2008. Facility Poster Sessions will provide a forum for institutions to present posters describing their activities and services.
